A QR code (Quick-Response code) is a barcode that can be used by anyone with a camera on their smartphone to direct the user to a specified website, file, images etc.

Most QR Code generation websites will allow you to export a QR code as a jpeg, png or pdf file.

QR Codes can be added to both workflows and process map instructions. Some examples/ideas of use are:

  • Having a QR code added to the instructions page of your workflow to link users to some additional information they can access etc. A QR code image can be copied and pasted into the instructions box (please note if the image if to large you can also screenshot the QR code and resize the image)

  • Having a QR code added to the email template that you send when a workflow is in progress or completed

Please note that the QR code used in this article is a dummy QR code, and not intended for proper use.
