Conditional Forms

Using Form Conditions allows you to hide or show fields in a Step. This means fields can be made visible based on a previous field selection.

Simply put, IF this fields CONDITION equals this VALUE, THEN show this field.

This provides a better experience for the assignee by only showing relevant fields necessary to capture further information.

For example:

You want to create a Form Condition for a Travel Request Flow, that only shows the Flight Details field IF you require flights.

When the assignee selects No, the table field remains hidden by default.

If the assignee selects Yes, the 'Flight Details' will appear to complete the field details.

So how do I create this Form Condition?

In Form Designer, you want to hide 'Flight Details' by default, and only show if 'Yes' is selected for requiring a flight.

  1. Select Hide field by default

Next in the 'Form Conditions':

  1. Click the If dropdown to select your decision field, e.g. 'Do you require flights'

  2. Click the Condition dropdown and select 'Equals'

  3. Click the Value dropdown and select your field value, e.g. 'Yes'

  4. Click the Then dropdown for the Action field required, e.g. 'Flight Details'

  5. Check the Action button 'Show' to show the 'Flight Details' field

Finally, save your changes in your Form Design to effect your Form Conditions.
