Inviting new users into Flowingly is really simple, it can be done either one by one or in bulk using CSV import.

Note: All new users will be added as Workflow Users. Learn about user roles by reading our help documentation.

One by one

  1. Click Setup on the left-hand side menu.

  2. Click on the Users tab, this will display a list of all users in Flowingly.

  3. Click Invite Users, fill in the required information and click Invite Users.

Bulk import

  1. Click Setup on the left-hand side menu.

  2. Click on the Users tab, this will display a list of all users in Flowingly.

  3. Click Bulk Invite, and follow the steps below.

Once you have downloaded the CSV file and opened it, enter the details of the new users. The first_name, last_name and email values are required for all users. You can also optionally add manager_email and connection_type. These are not included in the template, so you will need to add these columns if required.

The manager_email column allows you to assign new users a manager upon import. The emails used in this column must either already be assigned to a user profile within Flowingly, or be included within the same CSV file as a new user.
Alternatively, if this is left blank, an existing user in your business with the role of Business Administrator will be assigned as this user’s manager by default. This can be changed by editing the user’s profile after creation.

The connection_type column is used to determine what type of profile is created for a user. Leaving the column blank or using the ‘flowingly’ connection_type will create a user profile with a standard Username/Password connection. Users created when the column is left blank or using the ‘flowingly’ connection_type will receive a Flowingly Invite email, as they will need to set their password before logging in.

Using the 'sso' connection_type, a user will be created with a profile that requires ADFS credentials to login. Users created with the 'sso' connection type will not receive a Flowingly Invite email, as their password will be managed by ADFS.

Once the CSV file is created, you can upload it then select Invite Users. Accounts will then be created for the users, and Invite emails sent where required.
